WHO IS DJ ICEMAN?
Isaac Samuels was born in Brooklyn, New York. At the early age of three, Isaac began traveling extensively around the world through his fathers stint in the military living in Brussells, Belgium and Germany and through his own track & field career. Isaac graduated from Kennedy High School in Willingboro, New Jersey where his career in track & field took him to All American status and National Records, coached by Olympian Carl Lewis’ parents, Bill and Evelyn Lewis. Isaac received a scholarship to the University of Houston. Inspirations In 1980 Hip Hop’s famed DJ Grandmaster Flash as well as club DJs Larry LeVan ,Tony Humphries, Shep Pettibone and Frankie Knuckles inspired the Iceman to DJ. Demographically located in the ultimate radio environment, Iceman grew up listening to legendary radio stations such as Philadelphias WDAS, 105.3FM, and New Yorks 92KTU, WBLS 107.5FM, and 98.7 KISS mastermix shows from 1980 to 1983.
