How many us congressmen are lawyers?
Understanding rights of free speech, religion, press and gun ownership or matters of due process of law are not nearly as complex and there is no good reason for the people to remain ignorant of such rights. Lawyers could never stop the steady march of tyranny while the people remain willfully ignorant. Tyranny can only be kept at bay by an ever vigilante people who together jealously guard their freedoms. Lawyers may be some help but it is foolish to believe they can save humanity form the torture of tyranny alone.
