Is gin a mixture of vodka and bong water?
Gin is essentially vodka with added botanicals especially juniper berries. Distilled gin can also be sweetened with sugar. Gin is made through a process of infusion maceration whereby these botanicals are added to alcohol. “Bath tub gin” uses cheap alcohol and flavouring botanicals that can be anything such as plants, fruits, spices and so on. These are basically mixed in a tub, the botanicals removed and then the gin is drunk ‘as is’. This maybe something along the lines of what you have heard, that gin is alcohol with all kinds of things in it.
