If you use our 104 mouse microsatellite markers or 15 human Identifiler markers, we will perform PCR. All you need to provide us are genomic DNA samples (see below for DNA sample submission). If you use your own markers, you can perform PCR yourself and provide us PCR products to load to ABI 3730 DNA Analyzer. You can also provide us your DNA samples and markers, and we will perform PCR under our standard conditions (see below). If you have to use special PCR conditions, you are in general required to perform PCR yourself. Our PCR program: We use a “touch-down” PCR program to accommodate different primers. This program starts with 5 cycles at high annealing temperatures (60C and then 59C) to ensure amplification specificity, followed by 30 cycles at regular annealing temperature (55C).
