The Dunton Mine and Mount Mica in Maine produce a large volume of beautiful tourmalines that range in color from deep grass green to lighter greens and even yellow-green stones. Equally important are the mines in the state of Califonia, which have produced more valuable tourmaline gemstones than any other deposits in the Northern Hemisphere. Only the mines in Brazil produce more.
