“DualDisc” is a new multi-media, two-sided disc product established by the music industry that contains DVD material on one side and digital audio material on the other. A DualDisc is similar in size to a DVD/CD. The DVD side of a DualDisc contains DVD-Video or DVD-Audio content, such as 5.1 channel surround sound, artist interviews, etc., whereas the audio side of the disc contains digital audio content that does NOT meet the technical specifications of the Compact Disc Digital Audio format.
