When to trim oak trees?
We have an old live oak and an old post oak and because we have occasional hurricanes here. We usually have them trimmed in late late summer or right after any chances of a hurricane. When we first moved in we had them trimmed in the middle of summer because they were so bad and hadn’t been trimmed in yrs. We usually have them trimmed every other year so the wind won’t break off branches. Too thick causes limbs to break off. I would recommend a tree service the first time you do so and ASK questions. about when – why- and watch how. I did and I learned alot.
