An Anchor is a bookmark in your genealogy. If you begin to enter your information by typing in names, the first person that you enter into the Individual box will become your first Anchor. If you import a GEDCOM file into your group, the beginning individual from the GEDCOM file will become a new Anchor. You can create a new anchor by right clicking on an individual in your Starfield and selecting “Create As New Anchor.” You can delete an anchor using the Organize Anchors Page. (On the Anchors pull-down menu, select Organize Anchors.
