What was Fox News thinking?
Their set, complete with a giant button on the floor, emblazoned “You Decide 2002” — four guys at one desk and a host apart from them on another — looked just like a bad game show. We were treated to wide, wide shots that suggested the button was the star and the commentators merely props. For a network that prides itself on cutting edge, out of the box, thinking, their packaging and content, for that matter, was ponderous. Brit Hume looked bored. Of course, you had to know who they were by facial identification, since MSNBC forgot to super their names throughout the night as the lower third of the screen was filled with election info.
