Daniel P. Amos is the chairman and chief executive officer of Aflac Incorporated. He has been with the company full time since 1973. Mr. Amos was elected chairman in 2001, after having served since 1990 as president and CEO. Before his appointment as CEO in 1990, he was president and chief operating officer of Aflac. Earlier in his career, Mr. Amos served as state manager of Aflac’s Alabama/West Florida Territory for 10 years.
