What does LON-CAPA offer?
LON-CAPA primarily administrates classes. The system offers the usual features like online class-catalogues or a registration system for classes with limited amounts of participants. For communication purposes LON-CAPA offers the common tools like chat rooms, forums or announcement forums for particular classes. The live chat allows concurrent operations (e.g. uploads and presentations of audio and video formats or Power Point presentations). Further features are calendars, group administration (for the finding of collaborative work groups), feedback-options for rating individual articles, tools for making surveys or quizzes, a drop box (a virtual mailbox for filing data, e.g. handing in of homework) or a book of grades.
