What is CPC (Cost-Per-Click)?
Cost-Per-Click (CPC), also referred to as Pay-Per-Click (PPC), is an online marketing tool that uses search engines as a method to drive traffic to your website. When you utilize CPC, your paid advertisement can appear in a special section of the search results page (usually highlighted near the top or on the right of the page). With CPC, you pick keywords that you believe your target market would type into a search engine to find your website. You set your own CPC by making bids for keywords that you are interested in. Then, your ad can appear when someone searches for a word that matches one of those keywords you have bid on. And you only pay when someone clicks on your ad which takes them to your website.
