What are RDs and RAs?
A Residence Director (RD) is a professional staff member who lives on campus in the Residence Complex and plays an essential role on the Student Life team. Each RD supervises a complex of residential students and leads a team of Resident Advisors (RAs), student paraprofessional staff who are available to their residents. The purpose of a RA is to serve as a peer resource, role model, counselor, and friend who promotes resident student development and community life consistent with the mission and policies of Union University.
