ILDS is intended for sending library-owned materials between libraries to fulfill interlibrary resource sharing requests. This can include books and journals, photocopies in envelopes, recordings, maps, audio-visual materials, etc. It is also possible to redirect surplus ILDS bags or to receive additional ILDS bags through the ILDS system.
