What is the license fee for HMO?
The Council has determined the HMO licence fee for 2008/09 at £519 + (£51 per unit of accommodation). This fee is updated annually. The fee must reflect the costs to the Council of administering the HMO Licensing system, including carrying out the appropriate checks and ensuring that properties are up to the required standard for licensed HMOs. The licence will normally run for a five year period.
