What is a FCE?

0

FCE stands for Functional Capacity Evaluation. It is an examination, conducted by a physical therapist, to determine the extent of disability that has been caused by your injury. After you have reached Maximum Medical Improvement, your doctor will be asked to give your injury a “rating” and to list restrictions on what you are physically able to do. He will use the results of the FCE to help him make this determination.
