Whos the boss?
You and the other members of the credit union are the boss of everyone on the OSU Federal staff, including the President/CEO. You elect the Board of Directors. The Board is a dedicated group of volunteers who are not compensated for their work. They give up personal time, including nights and weekends, to serve members by guiding and protecting the interests of the credit union. This kind of volunteerism isn’t banking. It’s something entirely different—”credit unioning.” It’s how credit unions began and it’s why OSU Federal is still operating for so many years, after starting in 1954.
