Why adopt a Greyhound?

0

Our adoption fee is $285.00. This fee includes spay or neuter, basic immunizations, dental cleaning, heartworm test and one month of heartworm medication, fecal exam, de-worming, nail clipping as well as leash and collar set. References from your veterinarian are very important in our consideration of you as an adopter. Your diligence and consistency with the care of all your pets is of utmost importance…this includes, in part, rabies shots and heartworm testing/monthly preventative. We provide a home visit to offer advice in preparing your home for life with a Greyhound…ensuring doors and windows are secure, chemicals safe and sound, and fencing solid and secure. We like to observe the interaction of children with the Greyhound, too. Required reading prior to adoption is Lee Livingood’s “Retired Racing Greyhounds for Dummies,” which is available at your local bookstore or through First State Greyhound Rescue.
