A Hydrim is used as a replacement for an ultrasonic unit to clean instruments prior to sterilization. There is no need to pre-soak items other than the standard removal of set cement and composites from instruments. Instruments will have 99.9% of all protein material removed after the proper cycle in the Hydrim.
