What does Knights Templar mean?
The Knights Templar were the first corp men of the army. They acted as first aid workers in the field of battle. They acted both with valor and with bravery. For this they were granted the duty of protecting the “silk road” into Jerusalem, protecting travelers in their journeys to visit the Crucifixion site. They were, as legend states, given the extreme rights to protect the Challis that Christ drank out of during the last supper, the “Holy Grail” As their power grew they became arrogant and started charging the travelers a duty, to go along the roads they were to protect. In time they became very powerful and a right arm to the Pope and, the church. The King of France became jealous of their power and influence of the Pope and started rumors that was the downfall of the Knights. They were tortured, killed and almost exterminated to a man. Their legend lives on in honor though. Historians still believe they hold the secret to the Holy Grail, the other Holy artifacts of the church.
