Helios is a Roman sun god, but they also worshiped Apollo. Apollo was far more than a sun god; He was a god of prophecy, of music, of medicine, and much more. And the Romans were very much equal opportunity religionists. On the one hand, they were very happy to import cults from conquered peoples (in fact, the worship of Hercules as a human raised to the divine was popular in Roma from very early on.)
