Why such a long RFP response period?
Given that it is summertime, the people at the College who need to serve on the evaluation committee won’t all be available at the same time until September. Being that September represents the start of the new school year, the 15th of September is the really the earliest the College is prepared to deal with the responses to the RFP. We released the RFP early on the assumption that potential proponents would prefer as much advance notice as possible.
