MIS professionals design and manage computer systems that make organizations run more effectively. They are the communications bridge between “techies” and “non-techies”. They focus first on carefully analyzing how existing systems deliver on organizational goals. Then they craft new technologies to leverage what the organization does well and fix what it does badly.
