How can Canadians stay informed?

The Government of Canada will continue to work with its provincial and territorial partners to ensure that all Canadians have the information the need to make informed decisions about immunization. Once immunization begins, PHAC will prepare a weekly report (link) on Fightflu.ca that provides a summary of the adverse events reported nationwide. Reporting an adverse event does not mean that the vaccine caused harm. Only a medical investigation, including a review of the person’s medical history and an assessment of environmental factors can establish whether or not the vaccine caused the reaction. If there is any evidence that the H1N1 flu vaccine poses an undue risk to Canadians, the immunization program will be halted.
