What is the Medical Indigent Services Program?
If the applicant is Undocumented, a Legal Permanent Resident or United States Citizen, they may be eligible for the Medical Indigent Service Program (MISP) at University Medical Center. The applicant can be married or single, with or without children. If the applicant is visiting on a passport or a Visa, they are not eligible for these services. To receive these benefits: • An applicant must be between the ages of 21 and 65 • Meet both income and property requirements Applications are accepted at University Medical Center located at 445 Cedar Avenue in Fresno. The applicant will need to provide verification of any bank accounts they have, any cash on hand, earned or unearned income. If their income fluctuates, they will need to apply monthly for MISP services. If the income of the applicant is steady, they only need to apply every three months.
