What is a WebSim?

0

WebSim is a trademark of Powersim, Inc (Herndon, VA) and refers to a web-based simulation which individuals can play across the internet from around the world. These simulations are often used for business or education (though other applications can be created) and allow employees to play roles in their organization and explore various scenarios within the safety of a computer simulation. The model of a “dynamic system” is developed from a Systems Thinking approach, “wrapped” in an implementation using Java technology, and deployed on the internet or intranets. In fall 1997, IPLI acted as beta tester for Powersim’s Metro Server product which functions as a server for WebSims.
