What are SPEAs admission requirements?
SPEA requires that students have completed 12 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0, a previous semester grade point average of 2.0, and complete ENG-W131 with a C or better. If the student has completed 12 hours of SPEA (major) courses, he or she must have a grade point average of 2.3 in those courses.
SPEA has a selective admissions policy that requires students to complete a minimum of 26 credit hours and no more than 75 credit hours with a 2.30 (C+) cumulative grade point average. Students must also earn at least a 2.00 (C) in any of the following introductory courses before applying to the School: SPEA V160 (V170 from a regional campus), V162 (V264 from a regional campus), E162, or E272.
