What is SecureID?

SecureID is the Indiana BMV’s effort to fully comply with the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission and state and federal regulations in two important ways: • SecureID is a requirement for anyone applying for a new Indiana driver’s license, permit, or identification card to prove they are who they say they are. • All permanent driver’s license, permits, or identification cards will be mailed from a secure, government-run location to a customer’s home address following an extensive verification process of documents. The permanent credential will be received by the customer within 10 business days.
