Why was JHSecure retired?

The JHSecure application was successful for many years at Hopkins, however the vendor (Cisco) stopped selling the product in early 2008 and began the process of phasing out support for the platform in August 2008. One of the areas where this lack of support was felt most keenly by Hopkins members was the lack of support from the vendor for clients using 64-bit Microsoft operating systems.
