What are Divining Rods?
Divining rods are three foot brass welding rods which are bent at a 90 degree angle at 1/3 of their length. Carol and Doug have found that spirit is able to communicate with them easily using divining rods. They use divining rods much like some people use a pendulum to verify the correctness of “spiritual transmissions”. This requires that they reduce questions to those which can be answered with either a “Yes” or a “No” (and sometimes a “Maybe”). Carol and Doug have not yet tried looking for water or other objects with divining rods. This is called dowsing.
