What is there to do in Galveston, Texas?
Yes, Galveston is worth the trip. Of course the obvious thing to do is the beach thing. If you want privacy, go to the West end of the island. If you want to party it up, go to east beach or to Crystal beach. If you want a family friendly atmosphere, I’d recommend Stewart Beach. You should definitely try to check out Moody Gardens. They have an aquarium and a rainforest that are really neat. They also have a paddlewheel boat that you can take to ride around the bay. There’s an IMAX theater there too, if you like that kind of thing. Also try to check out Schlitterbahn. It’s a waterpark near Moody Gardens that has a lot of waterslides, lazy river, etc. If you like shopping, check out the Strand. It’s a street that has a lot of specialty shops. And while you’re there, stop in to La King’s confectionary and get an ice cream cone or malt milkshake.
