Congratulations on taking up such a challenge. The best ice breaker I know is a warm smile. It works every time. The next is a warm heart which connects you to the kids. Then you will need a true interest in them personally and in their teen age interests. All the above, added to your professional expertese, will assure you of 80% success. The last thing I would suggest is to ask the teens themselves what it is they want most from you and Religion. That’s where you get your other 20%. (Of course, you address their needs or wants the best you can). Ice breakers are nothing compared to your sincerity. With the teenagers’ input, you are a 100% team. Go to it and enjoy.
