Why is Jerry the only announcer that still wrestles?
Jerry only wrestles every once in a while. He’s not doing it full time. I’m not sure why Tazz doesn’t wrestle anymore, but it’s probably because it’s less stressful on your body being an announcer, and I think he had continuous injuries that forced him into retirement as well. And JBL had to retire early due to a serious back injury. Here is what he wrote in his last column on the website TheStreet.com: “I have also come to believe that you can’t fight father time. A broken back suffered in a match in England, compounded by a herniated and bulged disc, finally made me realize my career as a professional wrestler was over.” Hope this helps.
