How to clean sinamay straw hats?
It’s really easy to ruin these hats if you don’t have experience. The safest way to clean it at home it to use a can of air (like you would use to clean a computer keyboard) and blow off as much debris as possible. If you have soil that needs further cleaning a little oxy-clean and warm water (dissolved completely) applied very, very sparingly to the areas should remove the debris and still let the hat maintain its shape. I am assuming that this is a “natural” colored hat, if it is a dyed sinamy hat, I really don’t know if the wet process would be safe.
