Where does Patsy Cline fit in?
Renner: That was for an irony sort of feeling. It plays against all the other typical stuff that you think – [like] AC/DC – of course this guy listens to. Patsy Cline was just something you bounce around here. MPM: Yeah. Renner: That’s not so obvious. MPM: Were you surprised by any of the questions last night after the screening? Renner: No. You hear them all; [they] run the gamut. That’s what I love about it; it’s interesting. Everybody takes something else. It’s an experience, I think – the movie. It’s not so much of a story, but it’s an experience. It’s kind of what comes to me. MPM: How would you characterize Kathryn as a director? Renner: She’s a painter. She’s a very visceral sort of [person]. She’s a painter, she’s an observer, and she’s a fantastic action director. MPM: How did you feel watching it? Was that the first time you’d seen it on the big screen? Renner: With an audience, yeah. It was great. It’s the third time I’ve seen it, so something always affects me a little bit
