Are laurel berries poisonous to children?
I recently called Poison Control after finding a chewed up laurel berry in an 18-month old baby’s mouth. They said that 1 or 2 are probably nothing to worry about, but may cause tingling or numbness around the mouth or an upset stomach. They said to give her something to drink, continue to watch her, and call back if anything changes. I don’t know about the toxicity of large quantities of laurel berries, but when in doubt, call Poison Control!
