Did africans are resistant to malaria and yellow fever?

0

Millions in Africa have malaria and many die. There is some evidence that at one time many Africans were more resistant to some of the endemic forms of malaria but either they have lost that immunity or there are new strains that hit hard, especially with children. But malaria, once you have it can keep coming back without the proper medication, which they don’t always have access to. I don’t know how widespread Yellow fever is in Africa these days. There are vaccines but I don’t know how many people can get them. I think it is a one time thing, if you get it and survive you are probably immune, but I don’t know if the liver can be damaged or not in patients who recover.
