This letter is your formal offer of employment and once it is offered, it means that the family definitely accept you. Once you have confirmed your acceptance of the position, it is understood that you also definitely accept to be this families’ au pair. The letter will have the host family name and address, your name and address and will outline the family, the children and their ages, your duties and working hours, the date the family wish you to begin and how long they expect you to stay. They should also mention that they agree to let you attend language classes.
