What is the string for?
The string is a safety device and is used on the outside Window Mate. It is used to stop the item falling to the ground if the Window Mates are accidentally separated. Tie the string around your arm or secure it on a window handle inside the house. The string can be extended by simply attaching extra string. The safety string must be used on high rise buildings to prevent the Window Mates from accidentally falling and getting lost or injuring someone passing below.
