What are VSO Challenge Events?
The challenge events are once in a lifetime treks to raise money for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO). Current events include trekking to Everest Base Camp (Nepal), to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), the UK 3 Peaks Challenge and the London Marathon. These treks happen throughout the year and are non technical (participants do not need any prior experience). VSO Challenge events are open to every Accenture employee, regardless of level, workforce or geography. Over 100 employees from all over the world have already taken part in these events. This is one of the biggest fundraising initiatives in Accenture’s history and it has already raised over $1m. The money raised to date has helped VSO support 66,000 people impacted by HIV and Aids in Southern Africa.
