How to protect floors from stains?
For ordinary dirt (water-soluble dirt), treat the surface with suitable water repellents, preferably made of silicone (for instance, polysiloxanes). If the surface is to be protected, instead, from oil stains (for instance a kitchen or dining room floor, a table, etc.), treat it with suitable oil-repellents, normally made of wax or preferably fluorinated polymers, and maintain at regular intervals.
