Do stains look glossy?
No. Most stains will have a mat translucent finish. If you want a shiny look then you have to use a different product such as Sikkens Cethol Dek which will give you a furniture look. We normally dont recommend shiny stains since the application and maintenance is very expensive. Unless you are willing to pay the price for high maintenance we also specialize in that field. The durability of glossy stains does not make a huge difference than that of mat translucent finishes.
