How do you string origami paper cranes?

0

Thread an embroidery needle with enough floss or yarn to hold the number of cranes you wish to put on a strand. A common length of cranes is 25 birds per strand. Tie a stopper knot or decorative bead at the very end to keep the birds from sliding off. After folding the paper crane there will be a small hole in the bottom of the figure. Bring your threaded needle up through the crane from the bottom and gently exit the figure through the point in the bird’s back. Subsequent birds are strung the same way. The birds may sit directly next to each other on the strand, or may be separated by beads or 5mm lengths of coffee stirrer tubes if you wish.
