What does CLS funding cover?
It covers all your legal costs including, if the case goes to the Crown Court, the costs of briefing a Barrister to act on your behalf in that Court. It also covers any necessary expenses incurred to prepare for your defence, for example the cost of Expert witnesses, (authority has to be obtained first from the Legal Services Commission before the expenditure is undertaken).
