What size Unistrut should I use?
4) Unistrut is available at most hardware stores and electrical suppliers. You should use 7/8″ depth for ladders up to 8ft to maximize your ceiling space. In addtion th 7/8″ strut is strong yet flexible enough to accomodate variations in your installation. Unistrut is typically sold in 10 foot lengths with a variety of finishes. A galvanized finish is recommened for most applications. Dual Jet Rack installations should use the heavier gauge, 1-5/8″ depth strut for more rigidity and to allow for the clearance of larger fasteners.
