What is busking?
Busking is a term that is used to describe a performer who is paid by those people who watch his or her performance. For example, a classical guitarist who has studied for years and wants to make a few dollars over the weekend can grab his instrument, sit in an area that has a lot of people walking through, and play to his heart’s content. If he puts out a “hat”, or a “jar”, for tips, he is considered a busker. We have a wide range of buskers at interPLAY: magicians, musicians, balloon artists, face painters, and much more.
