What is a Hierophant?
The Hierophant of each faith is the political and spiritual leader of that faith, with access to a wide array of administrative and leadership functions for the faith that he leads. The Hierophant of each faith is chosen by the priests of the faith when the position becomes vacant in an electoral process. Though it carries many benefits, the position is also one of great responsibility, and not to be undertaken lightly. The Hierophant is answerable directly to his deity, and a Hierophant who wishes to remain in good standing must tread very carefully indeed.
