What is chile famous for?
For being the narrowest country in Latin America; having the driest desert in the world (Atacama), for Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral (both Nobel prize winners in Literature), for great rock groups like Los Prisioneros or La Ley, for its Lapizlazuli stone (only found in mines in Chile or Afghanistan), for great tennis players (marcelo Rios or Fernando Gonzalez) for its Easter island Moais, for great futbol players like Ivan Zamorano or MarceloSalas, for having a very rich cultural life (theatres, classical music in the south – Frutillar), for its beautiful landscape, for its copper (the third country to export copper in the world). Please note that I didnt say for its Pisco as I have lived both in Chile and Peru and the best Pisco and pisco sour according to my taste is peruvian (sorry chileans!
