What is an overweight container?

0

This refers to containerized cargo which exceeds the 80,000 pounds including cargo, container, chassis, and tractor. If a container is overweight with a single piece of cargo in it, we may be able to get an overweight permit to move it. If a container is overweight with two or more pieces inside, it is considered a “reducible” load and we cannot get a permit for that. In this case there are two options.
