What are the indemnity arrangements?
By virtue of your employment with Camden and Islington, you are covered by an arrangement called the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts, which extends throughout the NHS. For this cover to apply, your project must be registered with Camden and Islington; you may also need an honorary contract with the Trust(s) in which you are carrying out your research. On the relevant question on the IRAS form (currently q.A76) you can tick the box that “NHS indemnity scheme will apply”.
